What letter is not in any of the state names?
Letter Q is the only letter not used in the US state names. The answer is "Q". It has to be "Q", However, I know of Queens in New York.
But Q isn't the only rare letter in our state names here in the U.S. The letter Z appears only in the name of one state (Arizona) and X in just two (Texas and New Mexico). P is also fairly rare among the 50, as it appears in only three state names — Pennsylvania, Mississippi and New Hampshire.
Well, my trivia-savvy friends, the answer is...Q. That's right—50 different names, and not one of them contains the letter Q. Every other letter of our alphabet shows up at least once (well, unless you count these 6 letters that dropped out of our alphabet.)

Is omega the last letter?
Omega (uppercase Ω, lowercase ω) is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet. In the Greek numeric system, it has a value of 800. Pronounced [ɔ:] or 'aw' as in 'raw'.
In modern Greek, both omicron and omega represent the mid back rounded vowel IPA: [o̞] or IPA: [ɔ̝]. Letters that arose from omicron include Roman O and Cyrillic O. The word literally means "little O" (o mikron) as opposed to "great O" (ō mega).

Omicron is Greek for 'little o' and is distinct from the term 'omega' which is the last letter of the alphabet.
If you guessed J or Z, though, you were close—and probably don't live in New Jersey or Arizona, since those are the only states that contain J and Z, respectively. There are couple of other rare letters, too, that only show up twice.
It's not just the British that pronounce “z” as “zed”. The vast majority of the English speaking world does this. The primary exception, of course, is in the United States where “z” is pronounced “zee”. The British and others pronounce “z”, “zed”, owing to the origin of the letter “z”, the Greek letter “Zeta”.
